Once each facade design had been reviewed and agreed in principle with the EastEnders Series Designer, the sketch above was produced to combine all facades into a single annotated elevation, showing both the commercial and residential units together. This consolidated drawing supported the Architects and myself in finalising the design and ensuring the overall scheme remained cohesive.

Once each facade design had been reviewed and agreed in principle with the EastEnders Series Designer, the sketch above was produced and annotated to support the Architects and myself in finalising the overall design.

To progress the design of the Corner Shop (Facade 1), the sketches above explored potential facade layouts and stylistic directions. Each concept drew inspiration from real‑world examples found across central London. These options were then used as discussion material with the EastEnders Series Designer ahead of approval and the subsequent detailed design stage.

Across all variations, the consistent elements were a single flats door serving the upstairs units and a single entrance for the ground‑floor commercial space. Hinged windows were included from the outset to support filming in and around the facade, helping to minimise reflections and glare during shooting.
