A Selection of Graphics Produced for the Front Lot Development

Each front doorway on the Studio Sets and new External Set featured its own distinctive fanlight numeral or house name. These elements were carefully replicated to match the originals as closely as possible, including the choice of materials, whether hand‑painted or produced in vinyl.

Alongside the general detailing, it was essential that the final positions matched the original locations from the old Lot, particularly for key character landmarks such as the Minute Mart. The graphics were produced in Adobe Illustrator and laid out in Microsoft Visio to ensure accuracy and consistency across the set.

The graphics above were created in Adobe Illustrator and demonstrate the range of visual styles that needed to be replicated for the new Lot. These include designs for No. 31 Albert Square, the Minute Mart, the Launderette, the Queen Victoria Public House, Bridge Street Café, the Timber Merchants, Maximum Motors, and more. Each crafted to reflect the established identity of their on‑screen counterparts.

Front Lot - Unused Walford TfL Overground Station Graphics

The graphics above were created in Adobe Illustrator but were ultimately not used in the final set design after the creative direction changed. The original brief required the environment to resemble a TfL Overground station, which meant producing a wide range of graphics inspired by real stations across London. These included wayfinding signs, emergency notices, high‑voltage warnings, and more.

The roundel design and accompanying station signage were developed in Adobe Illustrator, using Transport for London’s design handbooks as key references. This approach ensured that, once installed, the graphics appeared authentic on camera and delivered the correct look and feel for the audience.
