For the first iteration of the Walford TfL Overground Station, the drawings were completed by hand to test the general layout and ensure the proposed details would work in practice. This approach also allowed us to reach an early agreement with both the Designer and the EastEnders Series Designer before progressing to more detailed development.

For the first version of the Walford TfL Overground Station, the drawings were completed by hand to test the general layout and ensure the proposed details would work in practice before moving into digital development.The main feature of Union Street on the Back Lot was the original Victorian corner shop, designed to echo a range of existing structures found across the East End of London while remaining deliberately understated and anonymous. This allowed it to blend seamlessly into the wider streetscape and support a variety of story needs.

An initial design was developed for the London Overground roundel to be installed between the new bridge and an existing building. Its purpose was to signal to the audience an alternative access point to the above‑ground platform, helping to reinforce the station’s narrative logic within the wider set.

The door designs were first completed by hand before being transferred into AutoCAD, incorporating all required dimensions, ironmongery details, and graphics.
