Police Cells - PRop Door Handles and Viewing Panels
Only two full metal prop viewing panels were available to hire from the prop house, meaning several additional units had to be recreated to ensure the corridor appeared fully lined with cells. The drawing and model above were produced using the original metal panels as reference.
Each viewing panel was constructed with a balsa‑wood frame and a plywood backing for stability. The panels were then coated in black and grey metallic spray finishes and aged to replicate the appearance of the real-life reference units.
The photos above show the final panels affixed to the doors on set, fully dressed and integrated into the corridor environment.
Police Cells - mAIN gATE
To complete the Police Station custody corridor, a functioning metal gate was required. I was tasked with measuring the location and producing working drawings of the gate, including all necessary dimensions. The model shown above was then used for sign‑off and fabrication.
The photo above show the metal gate which was fabricated specially for the opening, fully dressed and integrated into the corridor environment.
